Kenmore Washer Lid Lock Light Flashing. I originally thought we could just replace the lid lock mechanism, but after scouring the internet i discovered that the light is a generic code and i have to get into diagnostic mode. The problem may not necessarily be a broken lid lock.

Check if there is any blockage in the drain pump or impeller. Your washing machine’s control board could fail to register that the lid is closed, or the motor wiring could be faulty. To do a quick reset, unplug your washing machine and wait five minutes.
